Chris, i think u need to go back to lamb and listen to it quietly and patiently again. not only r u in danger of becoming the laughing stock of serious music lovers by your superficial review,u r also depriving yourself of one of the most amazing gifts that the most talented band in the world has created for you. i myself thought there was no depth in lamb because i had expected to understand it in the same no. of listens as i take to understand other albums (both prog and non-prog). but,lamb takes time to grow on you, even after you have listened to the more accessible stuff by genesis like "trick" or "SEBP", and comparing its grandeur to the ditties of Zappa and ELP is just ludicruous.

i went to your "see more abt me" link and u seem to have begun listening to genesis with lamb. well, go to "tail" or "SEBP" first and work your way thru the more accessible material before u can aspire to comprehend the majesty of the lamb.

and to the other genesis fans out there, pls take the time to counter superficial comments by casual listeners so that the ranking of this incredible sweeping masterwork does not fall. after all, it was after reading your sterling reviews that i began to listen to genesis - my heartfelt thanks to most of you who have praised the album the way it deserves to be praised. it opened the doors for a seeker like me, disgusted with most current day pop music into realms ethereal!!!
