First picked up this Album in the early 80's; I was disappointed by the two-album set. I found only the title track and THE CARPET CRAWLERS of any interest. I always loved "SELLING ENGLAND BY THE POUND" and was mad I never got to see Genesis with Peter Gabriel. My mistake I didn't sit down and really listen to this CD, it is there best. I take the story line with a grain of salt, at times you seem to understand what's going on, other times its makes no sense. The Music is on this album is such a high level, few musical groups will ever achieve. Collins drumming is the engine of the whole thing; the music changes time, and from ballads to hard rocking he never misses a beat. Gabriel's voice just sucks you in; he sings every note like he means it. The rest of the group plays equally as well; we have Genesis on top of their game. Don't be discouraged if it takes 20 years to digest, if you give it some time this will be one of you favorite cd's.
