The evolution of Genesis

This was the album that clinched it for me. After enjoying the new 90's version of Genesis "Calling All Stations", I finally started getting the 70's albums. A Trick of The Tail was the first...I immediately fell in love with it. It's simply one of my favorite albums of all time. I know I wasn't around to appreciate the Gabriel years or any of the 70's albums, but on "Trick" they managed to capture everything I love about the band. Every song on the album is simply breathtaking. I was a casual fan of the band until I discovered all of their albums. They have such a diverse history, which is why some fans love the early stuff & despise the later stuff, and the newer fans who enjoy the later stuff and have no clue to the early years. I'm one of those rare fans that truly appreciates all of their albums: Trespass to Calling All Stations. I just can appreciate Genesis for not making the same album over and over again, and that's what makes them truly unique.
