Thi is an excellent complilation...for its time

For anyone thinking of buying this compilation, please remember that it was originally released in 1976 (well before the Dark Horse Record/Traveling Wibury years). So please don't expect to find hits like "Got my mind set on you" or "All those years Ago" or "When we was fab". If you want a compilation from the Dark Horse years buy "Best of Dark Horse 1976-1989". George left EMI/Apple in 1976, hence the EMI cash in compilation "Best of George Harrison". It's a great compilation - in so far that the songs are faultless. However George does deserve a much better compilation which reflects the whole body of his work and in this regard this album, despite the five stars given, does fail. Hopefully EMI and the Estate of George Harrison will agree on this and produce a compilation worthy of George. As to what should be on such a compilation, well that's a very interesting question.....
