Great voice,but the song selection...?

Let`s get one thing straight. George is no Bobby Caldwell or Harry Connick Jr.when it comes to modern renditions of Swing Jazz numbers, but in his own unique way,he does a first-rate job of handling the material on this album. Perhaps in hindsight,a couple of the tracks(Roxanne,Secret Love)could have been replaced with something a little more substantial if representing music of the 20th Century was his(obvious)intent. But overall,my only real complaint is that it`s not long enough! An album of 43 minutes is far too short by modern standards,and I was just warming up to it when it suddenly ended! (Perhaps a follow-up album,George?) He`s always going to find it difficult to top"Jesus to a Child",but this is a pleasant try. Very enjoyable.
