(8/10)There is absolutely nothing wrong with the selection of songs here...all of the songs are great, and worthy of inclusion. George Strait's performances are absolutely stellar. But, the problem comes in the production and editing of these songs...some are chopped up, chopped down, truncated, fading out, and incomplete. What a shame...it would have been better to add a third disc with all of the songs complete. George Strait represents "everyman" who sings from our point of view. Of course, he has an uncommon gift of communication and a perfect country music voice. Whether singing warm songs of love and devotion or tragic songs of pain and loneliness, George Strait never sings a false note. So, enjoy this set for what it is, but if you want the real deal, pick up Strait's individual CDs or the box set.
