The first of Gloria's Spanish language albums is still her best. It blows all her other albums out of the water. While the other two Spanish albums are excellent, Mi Tierra is absolutely exceptional. The souce material is wonderful, and most importantly, the entire musical ensemble is absolutely first rate. This is less a showcase for the soloist (Gloria) than a complete muscial pacakge. No mere "attractive backdrop" for the singing, the musicians are an absolutely top of the line ensemble of the best Latin music.

Mi Tierra is intoxiating, and a landmark album. I give it the highest possible rating.
