Good Charlotte

The Chronicles of Life and Death

o god give it up

There seems to be a major question that separates Good Charlotte's fans into two camps: Is Good Charlotte punk or not? Well, here is the answer: Who cares?
On their third album, the follow-up to the successful "The Young and the Hopeless," Good Charlotte pairs their clever lyrical writing with upbeat rocker anthems.
"The Chronicles of Life and Death," the title song, makes you laugh while exposing the realities of this world with lines like, "And money talks, in this world / That's what idiots will say / But you'll find out, that this world / Is just an idiots parade."
Other greats include "I Just Wanna Live" and "The World is Black."
But the real surprise is Good Charlotte's obvious sinister quality that permeates almost the entire album, especially on tracks like "S.O.S.," "Ghost of You," and "The Truth."
In the end, Good Charlotte's earnest hope shines through on "We Believe," and all is right with the world once more.
So whether or not you adore the tattooed rebels of GC doesn't matter; what does is that they obviously have a way with music.

What the hell?!

This is the best Good Charlotte album yet. They changed for sure, but in a very good way. The new instruments add so much to the music.
