HOLY CRAP this is the funniest thing I've read in a LOOOONG time. Somebody below was going off on a trendy GC hating-spree and at the end they wrote this: "Want real rock? Listen to LINKIN PARK instead". LMFAO! Kid, do you realize GC is 1,000,000x more talented than Linkin Park? Thats not an opinion, thats a fact. Listen to the intro to this CD and listen to how fast the drums are, if LP's drummer tried to play that he would drop his drumsticks in embarassment after 3 seconds. Listen to the guitar solo on Motivation Proclimation on GC's first album, or the intro riff to Walk By- LP's guitarist never even touches those riffs, in fact, he barely even plays riffs- he can only seem to accomplish power chords. GC's bass player, Paul, plays some good basslines that you can HEAR, and he plays a 5 string bass. Linkin Park- uhh... do they even HAVE a bass player? Because I cant hear it. Song writing: Linkin Park wastes their time making their songs try to be "deep" when in the end their songs end up being boring, repetetive, and formulaic. Good Charlotte writes about so many different topics and they do it in a simple way that you can understand and relate to- just on this album they write about not fitting in, famous people, absent fathers, materialism, a story of murder and betrayal, suicide, having fun before you die, what the world thinks of achievements and keeping the faith. Good Charlotte's live show is energetic and they have a great stage presence, they communicate with the audience and have in between song banter. Linkin Park's "communication" with the fans consists of them saying "thank you" in between every song. The ONLY thing LP has over Good Charlotte is their vocals. Chester Bennington is the only thing LP has going for them. So there you go, you should learn something about music before you go bashing a band you know nothing about.
