Good Charlotte

The Young and Hopeless

pretty good

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (8/10)
I bought this CD because I had a gift certificate and it was the first one I saw by someone I'd heard of.
* A New Beginning: I like how it's kind of slow at the start but then the guitars come in. And it was something different. 8/10
* The Anthem: Pretty good song, nice guitars too. But after the second chorus, when he says, "Shake it once, that's fine. Shake it twice, that's okay. Shake it three times your playin with yourself." I think that was just put in there for laughs, I guess. 7/10
* Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous: Catchy beat and lyrics. This song also has a funny video. Although on TV they edit some parts. 9/10
* Wondering: Another catchy song also has some cool hooks in it. 8/10
* The Story of My Old Man: The one draw back of Good Charlotte is that they seem to "piss and moan" about their dad a lot. But this song has a cool intro with the drums. 8/10
* Girls and Boys: This plot has been done before but has good lines dipersed throughout the song. I also think the video for this song is pretty funny too. 7/10
* My Bloody Valentine: One of the best songs on the CD. Cool keyboards in it. However the Tell Tale Heart reference doesn't make too much sense. But a very fun song to sing along with. 10/10
* Hold On: Even though I've never been all depresed and wating to kill myself, this song makes me feel better when I'm sad. 11/10
* Riot Girl: Just as fun to sing as Bloody Valentine, but it's kinda short. 8/10
* Say Anything: I usually skip this song, but it has ome good lines in the second verse. 7/10
* The Day That I Die: When you just read the lyrics without the words, it's pretty depressing. But the halfway happy beat hides that. 9/10
* The Young and the Hopeless: A pretty basic song, but I like it because Benji sings by himself in it. 8/10
* Emotionless: A less upbeat version of Story of my Old Man. 7/10
* Movin On: A good message in this song. I like the little part after the second chorus. 8/10
