I have to admit that I did not think much of "A Painter Passing Through" the first time I listened to it. The songs seemed a little simple and light weight. But as I played it a couple of times a certain quality emerged and soon I found myself unable to get some tunes, notably "Ringneck Loon", "A Painter Passing Through", "On Younge Street" and "Much To My Surprise" out of my head.
I am grateful to be able to enjoy the creative talents of Gordon Lightfoot one more time and hope this will not be the last effort. My teenage girls love his music too, which is a big surprise to me. I thought I was the only one.
