This is my 3rd review of this CD. It seems negative reviews don't get in. Shame because all other reviews need to be taken with a large grain of salt if the bad ones don't get in. I'll try again and hope this gets a start.
This was my introduction to the DEAD by a very good DEAD HEAD friend of mine. He thought this would turn me onto the DEAD.
I've played or been involved in musik for most of my life ( 40 + years ). My main likes are GUITAR and the BLUES. Foolishly I thought that would include JERRY GARCIA and band. HA HA.
Now I know why none of my fellow musos and musik lovers ever played DEAD musik for me. ( not a bad phrase ) If this CD's
chicken scratching is any indication, GARCIA would have trouble
getting a gig in a garage band. Unfortunately the singing isn't as good as the guitar playing. They must be tone deaf. The song writing could have made up for some of these short comings, alas they don't. It's like snipetts of songlets, halfbaked ideas and a fair amount of plagarism. Why are these guys so revered????
Why would one need more then one odious CD from these icon's.
It's almost a crime to waste so much good plastic on these incredibly boring and repetetive CD's

If you like the musik I like and had bought this you would have been very dissappointed and would have wasted your money. This would certainly have been helpful. If you are a DEAD HEAD you should not be offended but try to get your musical head out of the sand and listen to some more recent and more relevant musik. There is so much out there I can't believe you have to revisit the same tired old shores time and time again?
