American idiot was the first Green day Cd I bought. I am also convinced that is the greatest punk album ever. It Deserves to stand right next to the Whos Quadrophenia and tommy.A modern Classic. No songs dissapoint my personal favorites are the 9 minute long Jesus of suburbia Homecoming whatsername Holiday Boulavard of broken dreams and letterbomb. This album is a rock Opera following the story of Jesus of suburbia.if you dont already own this album and you remotly like any type of rock you should buy this album and if you dont you should still buy it. american idiot-
9/10 probably the weakest track on the album and over played but still awsome
Jesus of suburbia-10/10 my favorite song jesus is introduced best part city of the damned Holiday-10/10 another awsome number with very political lyrics
Boulevard of broken dreams-10/10 the second single (american idiot was fist)
Are we Waiting-10/10 not as strong as the others but still great
St. Jimmy-10/10 a faster song that sounds more like older green day st. jimmy introduced Give me Novacaine-10/10 another classic song Shes a rebel-10/10 whatsername introduced extrodanary girl-10/10 another song about whatsername
Letterbomb10/10 just listen to the song it will blow you away wake me up when semptemper ends-10/10 a song thats a little depressing but great homecoming-another 9 minute song the weaker of the two but still incredible
Whatsername-10/10 A song that is sad a awsome conculsion to an album in my opinion deservses a place next to classics like let it bleed paranoid Quadrephina Santana III Appetite for destruction Abbey Road and blonde on blonde. This album will not be forgetten in another 10 years or 50
