Let's face it. Green Day is a singles band. There are no essential albums, no great artistic statements. They had some catchy songs, and this is the best way to experience them--separated from the rest of the mediocrity and put on one very good retrospective CD. Normally, I can't stand these "best of" compilations; in this case, it's all the Green Day anyone but the most loyal fan would ever want.
