First of all this is the longest Green Day CD by far. Also, all the songs except the instrumental "Last Ride In" rock. Third, this CD is full of great diversity, and expierements that still stay true to the bands roots.
This CD has typical Green Day songs (Nice Guys Finish Last, The Grouch, All The Time, Jinx) but the main focus on Nimrod is more ballad-ish type songs (Good Riddance, Prostetic Head, Worry Rock, Scattered, Redundant, Uptight). This CD definately has more emotion than a typical GD cd. This CD also has pleanty of "different" sounding songs such as: the ripping punk blast of "Platypus," The horn-laced punk sounds of "King For A Day," the hardcore spoof of "Take Back," the new sounds of "Hitchin A Ride" and the harmonica in "Walking Alone."
bottom line: This CD rocks, the singles are the worst tracks on the CD. buy it!!! you wont regret it
