Nimrod is my favorite green day cd (slightly ahead of insomniac). People may say that green day has sold out and lost its punk edge. Whats more punk then to do what people dont expect you to do. If your basing green days style of music to dookie then you might think they have sold out. But for those of you who dont know, green day had 2 cds before dookie. Dookie could be conisered a sell out album compared to kerplunk. Kerplunk had many slower songs on the album. And they havent sold out...they havent changed their music to blink 182 or the offspring. Nimrod may not have the same raw edge as dookie but it certainly isnt pop. They are just maturing and expierimenting with new sounds of music. They still have the same great lyrics as they always have had..."The world owes me so F*** YOU" "G I JOE in pantie hoes wasnt meant for only girls." "Taking what you need, bite the hand that feeds" "So when the smoke clears here I am, your reject all american." If you like green day or appreciate good music definatly buy this cd."
