If you are going to listen to 'Warning' for the first time, here is what you should do:

1. Forget what you knew about Green Day and remember just one thing: it is the only punk revival band that can change stereotypes about themselves.

2. Don't be too concerned about sticking to the punk pigeonhole. That's not what this album is about - so just relax.

3. Listen to the music of one of the best American guitar rock bands of all time greatly influenced by the Beatles, the Kinks and the Ramones. Try to enjoy it be cause it's really worth it.

If you look at 'Warning' this way, I guess you would agree with me that it is the best album in the Green Day's ever-evolving career.

PS: I haven't had a chance to listen to 'American Idiot' yet.
