(8/10)These guys made some of the most infectious music of the '80s, and this CD represents the cream of the crop. Many race-obsessed critics tried to dismiss them as white poseurs trying to play "black" music, but Hall & Oates were able to overcome such small-minded bigotry and prove that music knows no color. More genuine "soul" than a dozen pretenders who just happen to be black (e.g., New Edition, Boyz II Men, etc.).
