I have always thought that the word band meant a group of musicians who play music using instruments. So I was always confused when these so called "boy bands" came out like Backstreet Boys and N'SYNC but they did not play instruments. But there is this trio of brothers from Tulsa, Oklahoma who do play instruments, and they play them quite well. Not only do they play their own instruments, but they write their own songs as well. But the most important thing to add here is that not only do they write their own songs but they write very good songs. Even though people like to make fun of them for writing MmmBop, it is actually a pretty meaningful song. As are most of the other songs on their debut album Middle Of Nowhere. But all 3 brothers have matured a lot since 1997, the year Middle of Nowhere came out. Their music is much deeper, even more heartfelt and meaningful than before. If you haven't bought this cd yet you definately should. The brothers are back and better than ever. Taylor's voice has become very soulful and just like the first album he sings lead on most of the tracks. I don't think anyone would argue that he's the most talented. If you have seen the videos then you know that he sings lead on the title song This Time Around and on If Only. He also sings lead on You Never Know, Runaway Run, Sure About It, Save Me, Dying To Be Alive, Can't Stop, In The City and shares vocals on A Song To Sing as well as providing backup on the others. Isaac sings lead on Love Song and Hand In Hand while Zac sings lead on Wish That I Was There. But they all perform as a group no matter what song they are doing. There are no egos involved, you can tell that from the interviews. I am very impressed with this album and I hope they will be around for a long time
