A personal favorite......
Review Score:

(10/10)
It was the fall of 1978 and i was a 20 year old student at the university of new orleans. My favorite band was queen and when i heard they were coming to the big easy on oct 31st i was estatic. Now put these three together and you can understand what a cool time it was. New orleans french quarter, halloween night, Queen concert, Need i say more?
Unfortunately their new album jazz wouldn't be on the shelves untill a couple of weeks after that date. Well the concert was fantastic and the partying after was a blast. One of the best times of my life! I did get to hear 2/3 of jazz live before it was out on vinyl and i liked what i heard. They opened with "let me entertain you" and to this day it is one of my favorite queen songs.
This is an album of good times, a celebration of personal freedom. Look at the words to bicycle race "i'll ride it where i like". Then there's "don't stop me now" an anthem to good clean fun! "Fat bottom girls" is in the same vein as is "fun it". "Dead on time" rocks with the best of them! This is typical queen great rock music with that unmistakable artistic brilliance. Every song except maybe mustapha and the dreamers ball are outstanding though "jealousy" isn't quite the equal of love of my life or you take my breath away.
If you are a queen fan buy it. If you are a rock fan buy it. 5.5 stars!
