What happened???

I was so looking forward to this album after being blown away by THE DARK RIDE (TDR). I remember buying this and eagerly rushing home to play it....only to be somewhat let down and disappointed. It seems that Helloween did a little backtracking here...going back to their earlier style of metal. But, Helloween was going in such a nice direction with THE DARK RIDE, why did they stop??? The only song on here that is reminiscent of TDR is "Just A Little Sign"...a wonderful lead off song...but then the album just starts to drag after it is over. I think Gamma Ray has inherited the good direction that Helloween was going in, and I suggest to the band that they turn around and go back to TDR for inspiration for their next CD. If anyone else is like me, and misses TDR, then you should check out NO WORLD ORDER by Gamma Ray...now that is one great album! Helloween, I love ya, but you have GOT to do better next time!
