And that's definitely true. Her music is for little kids. Her first album was totally 'oh, the world is perfect, there's plenty of sunshine comin' my way, blah blah blah' and this album is barely any better. Sure, some of the songs are about breaking up with some guy you were like in love with, or plain everyday situations, but the way she presents them is just not good. Almost every song sounds exactly the same. I mean, really. You could have the saddest, most depressing song in the world, but if you put it in a childish, innocent melody, it will not have the right effect. Try Evanescence. Their lead singer, Amy Lee (who, by the way, writes all her songs and plays piano for the band, too on the slower songs, unlike Hilary) really knows how to present a song and reach her listeners. A lot of people think it is too depressing and sad, but, hey, that's life, and since people seem to be all for Hilary's new more realistic style, wouldn't they totally love music that really says it, in the lyrics, presentantion, music, and melody? Try Evanescence. Do not by Hilary Duff's album. It's bubblegum made for little kids (which is great if you ARE a little kid, but what if you're not?) and if you want something mature that people won't look at and think 'gosh, that person is juvenile' buy Evanescence.
