Metamorphosis was a good album but by no means great. And now this album is poor. The lead-single Fly is good enough and showcases how anyone can sound good with production done. This album is meant to show how much Hilary has grown. Except she hasnt grown, the writers have grown. Hilary is pop, atraightforward bubblegum pop, none of this 'i'm rock' bull
cause she's far from it. I mean this album does have some good tracks in the form of Shine, I am, The Getaway and The Last song but then there's awful songs such as Weird, Haters and Do you want me. Hilary's vocals are also dreadful. she has no vocal talent, she was taught how to hold a note, there is absolutely no emotion unless she's shouting. With Metamorphosis it was hard to tell whether she could sing because of the style. This album proves how dreadful she sings. Although after the NY Eve fiasco where her miming Come Clean and the CD broke and she had to sing live and was awful, i'm surprised she has as many fans left. Another flaw is that there is no song nearly as good as Come Clean. Hilary has a problem here. She is a very pretty and normal girl. But her management are trying to maker her punk rock and that will mean make Hilary a 'bad-ass' girl. She isn't being true to herself. Perhaps if she does what she wants, then her albums will improve
