Great Hypocrisy album

I own quite a few Hypocrisy albums, but the Fourth Dimension is by far my favorite. I guess you could call it transitional in the way that it's much quieter and more goth-tinged than their earlier stuff, and much more melodic and a lot slower than their newer, more Abyss-like releases. I appreciate all of Hypocrisy's phases and I think Tagtgren is a musical genius. This album has a little something for every listener. It's got the melodies, the gothic keyboards, the brutal death rattle vocals, yet it also has a few blast beater ass kickin' songs. I find some of the songs on here very relaxing and soothing despite the vocals, and I find great pleasure in the simplex song designs. There's no over the top "we've gotta prove how unbelievable we are musically" kind of attitude here. Just basic melodies, solid song writing, good ol' melody driven metal. And that's why I love it so much.
