Is experimenting selling out

I would have to agree that like many this is a newer In Flames sound but is it necsarrily a bad one. Many people classify selling out as not staying true to your roots but if you look at the catalouge of In Flames thats all they ever did is stay true. They are doing the same thing Iron maiden is doing which isnt bad they are merely adding new elements to the already great harmonies they have. This album is a departure from the "orignal sound" only because they have added newer hi-tech devices to the mix. Ive seen In Flames play this material live and i could tell it rocked just as hard as the older stuff. The only reason i gave this album a 4 is some songs arent up to snuff but that happens with many albums. Dont be fooled though by people saying this isnt In Flames it is, they are just taking a new apporach we cant have Jester Race for every album.
