This Album Is A Must-Have...

I have to wonder why only one person mentioned that they liked "I Can See The Future." I honestly believe that is one of the best acid-jazz songs I ever heard. 8 minutes is long for a song, but for this song, it's perfect. I'm a big fan of acid-jazz and Incognito is at the top of the genre. Jean-Paul Maunick is a true musician that can't be touched. He makes all the right moves in composing and choosing instrumentalists/vocalists. Maysa Leak, Jocelyn Brown, and the others do a splendid job. I just wish Christopher Ballen would've have gotten a song or two. There were nothing but women voices on this outing. Highlights of this album are "Wild And Peaceful," "It Ain't Easy," "Marrakech," "I Can See The Future," & "Black Rain." I particulary like "...Future" & "Black Rain" because they both emanate a dark tone and have rhythm. But the whole album is good (not their best one, but a close second to "Beneath The Surface"), so I'd advised you go to your local store and purchase this, along with their other several albums.
