Brave New World

Kid Brother To Seventh Son. 5 Star Maiden!

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
My title above really says it all: if you loved (or even liked) Seventh Son of A Seventh Son, you'll love this new Maiden for the 2000 years. I got this the day it came out, and almost three years later, it still rocks. The only dissapointment I had, was that I was so energized by Bruce coming back that I was expecting a Powerslave or Piece of Mind. Not to take anything away from this release, it's a Maiden must, but if you're looking for that earlier Maiden sound on the two earlier releases I just mentioned, you won't find them here. This album ranks right up there with Seventh Son, Somewhere In Time, and above Fear of The Dark, without a doubt. Bruce is definitely back on this one. I hope the next studio album gets back to the more Power Melody sound, that LP's like Powerslave had. Picks: every song after track 6 jams like hell, but I think EVERYONE will be cranking Nomad for the next 10 years: that tune just Jaaaammmssszzz! ***** 5 STAR BRAVE NEW MAIDEN RATING FROM SCRAGGY'S TOMB! Cheers and UP THE IRONS!
