Awesome.

There are two things that always came to my mind every time I heard that Iron Maiden was releasing a new live album, the first is that I always thought that the legendary "Live after Death" will never be superated and the second one is a certain fear
everytime I felt when I saw Steve Harris on the production credits, lets face it the real live and death ones were not the best live work of the Irons. If we consider that Mr Harris is on the credits of "Rock In Rio" again and that the clips that
you can hear from this album in the ironmaiden.com are of a horrible quality you can think... oh my God Not again!!! So I went to the store with not convinced at all if getting the cd was a very good idea but as soon as I saw it on the rack the magic of the Irons caught me inmediately. For me the "Brave New World" is the best contemporary work of heavy metal ever made and now I can tell you for sure that "Rock in Rio" is
the first best contemporary live album of heavy metal ever made in this century.
The production is awesome considering that now we have three guitars on it.
Mr Harris bass as always present, Nicko's drum kit is very clear since the opening and Bruce's performance is incredible, he does more than just sing, he shows the best of all the experience gained for years in how to drive and motivate the crowd to let it go. Since the opening you really experience how an Iron Maiden
concert is, you really feel like if you are part of the crowd, everything is just perfect, the crowd in extasis when the Intro goes on and the first riff from Adrian's guitar leading to the Wicker Man and everybody screaming toghether "Your
time will come" as well as "We are blood brothers".
The booklet is great with the reprints of the lyrics an concert pictures. At the back of it there is the classic concert picture of the Irons with all the crowd behind them and in the last page you'll be able to find a cool new version of Eddie in the Brasilian flag. The only thing that is missing is a good picture of the all the band performing on the stage.
Get it now. It's awesome.
