This One's Up There With Live After Death...

...and I don't say that lightly. The band was just on fire that night. The tracklisting is awesome, with a lot of material that hadn't been recorded live before (except on bootlegs), and teh sound is phenominal. All you have to do is look at the tracks to see what's on these discs, but I'm nto sure I've ever heard Maiden this on fire. There's just an edge to the group that's not on any of their other live albums, much less the studio versions, that just puts this album over the edge, from great to incredible. I can't say if it beats Live After Death, but it sure comes close. And compared to the lackluster Live at Donnington, Real LiveOne, and Real Dead One, there's just no comparison. This double disc set just rocks.

Oh, and before it's brought up, Steve Harris has publicly stated there were NO overdubs on this album, but on some cases where the audience was singing and it sounded wrong, he cut and pasted Bruce's earlier singing of the same lines for sound quality reasons, but everything on the album was recorded that night, wtih nothing done later.
