The CD should be no suprise to those who have kept up with Ja's latest work. If fact it is very similar to his last CD:corny pop songs for mass appeal, slow R&B joints to attract a female audience, and cries of "MURDER" throughout to try and keep his male audience. The end result, a disappointed avid hip hop fan. If you want cheesy pop songs and slow r&b joints, this is a good CD for you. If you want a good RAP album, look elsewhere. Ja is by no means a talented RAPPER, and his calls of murder are nothing more than amusing considering his 145 pound frame. And to add insult to injury JA samples, no let me rephrase that, STEALS, one of Pac's greatest songs, PAIN, from the Above the Rim Soundtrack. I personally found this offensive because its one thing to sample, but another to take the EXACT same chorus & beat & put in your own lyrics, which I think everyone can agree are NO WHERE NEAR Pac's calibur. He does add in a Pac verse, but it does not make up for the fact that he STOLE from one of the game's most respected MCs. Also Ja and Pac were not close, so I do not know why JA acts as though they were. Ja Rule is a watered down copy of Pac and if Pac was here, Ja Rule would not be. I recommend RAP fans to buy the Above the Rim Soundtrack instead of this, because the only song worthwhile is So Much Pain(a cheap copy of Pac's "Pain") and the soundtrack is simply amazing. ONE.
