Jamiroquai obviously have the word "retro" all over their style, but can't be written off as disco. That's injustice. It's a palatte of miscellaneous musical colours. The critic who wrote that excerpt says that "E.O.P.E." is not their strongest musically, but that's a bunch of hogwash. However, all their albums are infectious, so it's hard to say what is the best, but "E.O.P.E." would be your best bet for #1. Check out the environmental plea "When You Gonna Learn," the urgent "Too Young To Die," the care-free "If I Like It Do It," the instrumental "Music Of The Mind" and the 10-minute anthem "Revolution." If you'll listen, you'll like it.
