Jamiroquai never ceases to amaze or please me. As a long-time, old school fan of funk and disco music, I think this is the most solid effort from the group to date. I didn't think they could top their last disc, but they did. I am so happy that they're keeping up the good work in the UK and staying true to their sound. Not long ago, either MTV or VH1(I can't remember which--and they're basically the same) ran a special on "two hit wonders." Profiled on the show were Jamiroquai, who were essentially poked fun at by "mainstream" American viewers because, although their video for "Virtual Insanity" was great, their followup video for "Alright" automatically sucked because it was a "disco" song, and..."You just don't do that." Despite the blah-blah-blah from countless critics about their reliance on old school techniques and JK's alleged "Stevie Wonder" persona, I AM THRILLED to see that this CD by Jamiroquai is essentially like all the rest. They stayed true to their sound and style despite what the naysayers said, and for their true fans who grasp their style this is a relief. This is funk/disco/dance music at its very best.
