Breaks My Heart
Review Score:

(6/10)
I have been a Jamiroquai fan for a long time..(well actually since 95's "Traveling Without Moving". That was such an incredible CD, that I then went back and purchased the two prior to that. After having all three (at the time 3)of their releases, they then won the title of "my favorite group". In addition, since then becoming a fan, I of course purchased Syncronized when it was released, and obviously, the above.
Now understand, IT BREAKS MY HEART TO SAY THIS, but, I honestly think this is noticeably their weakest endeavor yet. I will definitely have to say that at this point, this album ranks as my least favorite. The two stand outs for me is the released track, "Little L", and "Feels Good". I also think "Picture Of My Life" is a simple, beautiful, and eloquently penned reflective song. For most, I believe it will bring to mind the fact that most will agree that our lives are not how we envisioned or "pictured" them to be.
Jamiroqaui still remains my most favorite group in the world. Unfortunately, I just don't see this cd having regular rotation in my cd player as have the others have. When I think of songs like "Manifest Destiny", "Planet Home", "Stop It Going On", "Return of the Space Cowboy", "Mr. Moon",etc., etc., I could go on forever. I feel sad to think I will have to wait another two years minimum to hear their next artistic efforts. Maybe with continued rotation, " A Funk Odyssey" will find a place in my heart.
