Jamiroquai

Funk Odyssey

Will you marry me, Jay Kay?

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
Jamiroquai's music is funk for your central nervous system, a synthetic symphony for your dancin feet brought to you by space-age technology and smooth, luring vocals.
I am Jamiroquai's biggest fan, but I am also their biggest critic. I did not like their first 2 albums at all, but Travelling without Moving and Syncronized were masterpeices, and Funk Odyssey is a great followup. It sticks with JK's statements of anxiety about Planet Earth and experiments with sound, although this time the experiments aren't as good.
Little L is the gem, but Feel so Good appeals to the trance fan in me. Love Foolosophy will not dissappoint any Jamiroquai fan. Stop don't Panic and Twenty Zero One have an unfitting hard edge. The female vocals in Main Vein are a nice, new touch for the band. Black Crow sucks.
If you're just discovering Jamiroquai, get Travelling Without Moving first.
