Music Manifested Thru Rare Groove Numbers

I can't restrain myself from writing reviews about Jamiroquai's music. If one just listens to Jam' for their perfectly orchestrated instrumentals and another listens just for jazzy, almost ad-lib-ish, vocals- then 'T.R.O.T.S.C.' satisfies the best of both worlds. From the mellowed out "Space Cowboy" (with is mesmerizing synths) to the infectious melody of "Manifest Destiny" (with a somber horn section) and on to the sweet rhythm of "Mr. Moon," (with a hardcore bassline), or even to the funk number "Light Years (Live)" (with J's improvisational vocals)- you've got a versatile album. 'T.R.O.T.S.C.' can appeal to the most reluctant to venture away from the strictest of musical regimens. Almost every song has an interesing message as well (i.e.- J's ancestors being inferior to their conquerors and excepting it temporarily). Before buying this, I based the strength of this album on just a few tracks. Never a boring song here (with the exception of "Light Years"- it takes a little getting used to on the first spin). I'm anticipating better things in the future with albums to be released in the new millenium.
