Classic Disco beats revived for the 90's

Before I bought this album, I knew of Jamiroquai and some of their songs(eg Cosmic Girl, Virtual Insanity) but was never a huge fan. However after buying this album, I have started to worship Jamiroquai. They are truly one of the funkiest and most inovative bands of all time. Most people I know that aren't huge Jamiroquai buffs really liked this album when they heard it. The people who seem to have a problem with 'Synkronized' are the really big Jamiroquai fans. As I have discovered 'Synkronized' is arguably not as good as Jamiroquai's three previous albums, but we all must remember THAT THIS IS STILL A GREAT ALBUM! I have had a similar dilema with the Red Hot Chili Peppers new album 'Californication'. When I first bought it and listened to it, I was somewhat dissapointed. It was nowhere near as good as their previous albums, especially the classic 'Blood Sugar Sex Magic'. But after a while I learned to love it for what it is, realising that bands can't always produce classic albums(such as 'Blood Sugar Sex Magic' and Jamiroquai's 'Travelling Without Moving'). 'Synkronized' revives classic disco beats and puts them into a nineties context. Track 4, 'Soul Education' is a prime example of this. 'Supersonic' is a great hard-hitting track that really get's the adrenalin pumping, and 'Planet Home' is also a great bassy track. 'Black Capricorn Day' is another great song, and also an extremely catchy one.

Overall this has to be one of my favourite album's of the year. I just hope Jamiroquai fans appreciate it for what it is, without having to constantly compare it to their old stuff'.
