Good Later Day Tull Album

Rock Island has some shortcomings, but is my favorite Tull album from the later years. The most irritating thing would be Martin Barre's very sterile, processed guitar sound. Ian Anderson however plays some of his meanest flute ever. I like 'Kissing Willie' a lot myself. The lyrics display the Tull sense of humor and double entendre at it's best. 'Another Christmas Song' is a follow up 'Christmas Song' from the Living In The Past collection;only I believe this is a much better tune and maybe the finest thing on Rock Island.Overall the band achieves a good balance between their classic sound and the 80's pop they unsucessfully attempted on their previous few albums. More like 3.5 stars actually.
