1999's Clarity is everything you could want in an Indie album. It's easy to say that a album that breaks a band into mass popularity must be a band's best album. Jimmy Eat World's 2001 Bleed American was their breaking album. But it isn't their best album. It's an amazing record, but it isn't their best. I've been a huge fan of Jimmy Eat World's for eight years, and I can say without a doubt, Clarity is J.E.W.'s best album, with 1996's Static Prevails in second. From the first song, the beautiful "Table For Glasses", through the rocker "Blister", all the way to the final sixteen minute long rock and programmed "Goodby Sky Harbor", you're getting quality. Anyone who calls themself a Jimmy Eat World fan, needs this record. If you're a 12 year old girl, you may not like this album.
