Jimmy Eat World: When Will They Put Out A Bad Album?!

So here it is, the latest chapter in the Jimmy Eat World series. First of all, I must say that out of the 500+ CDs that I own, this is in my top 5 of all time. This album is superior to so many other bands in their genre. They crossover a lot into hook-driven pop rock from their earlier releases riddled with a more indie feel, however the album absolutely embodies the brilliance and character of Jimmy Eat World's unique style.

Many fans and critics hype the "Clarity" album as being one of the best albums of all time, but while I enjoy it very much, and am glad I own it, it's no Beach Boys "Pet Sounds". However, I am an absolute sap for an album that is really put together. I mean where the producer is drinking coffee all night hammering out that one squeal in the background of the track. And this album, "Jimmy Eat World", has it. One of the best production jobs out there.

Highlights on this album include the first single, and original title track, "Bleed American". If you're a fan of "The Middle", try to borrow this album before buying, as it's not very much like it. I feel that "The Middle" is probably the most basic and least impressive song on the entire album, followed by the catchy, though emotionally dry, "Sweetness" - another recent single. However, listen to "Cautioners" and really feel some emotional clarity, and if you're into poppy stuff, listen to "If You Don't, Don't". Enjoy this album, although you don't need to hear that from me!
