jimmy eat world- "Bleed American"

"Bleed American", the original title of this release, was changed out of respect for those in the 9.11 thing. No matter what you call it, this album is monumental emo-rock.
the title track starts things off with a bang- and it just keeps going. transitioning into the catchiest song off the lot, 'a praise chorus'. the album goes high and low, up and down, all around and is an emotional event. The Music is absolutely spectacular. Jimmy eat world has been described as an 'emo' band, but if this is the case, it is far ahead of any of it's emo bretheren. it rocks wonderfully, yet keeps it in check. The peak of this album comes on "get it faster", a song that starts with a slow, archaeic build. Then, voila, it bursts out into a screaming chorus, and pronounces it's presence, loud and clear. Definitely Worth a listen, along with JEW's other releases, "static prevails" and "clarity".
