I actually admit that I hear Jimmy Eat World through their radio hit "The Middle". I liked it to a certain degree. It soon got overplayed. Then I heard "Bleed American" The same happened to this song. But still, both songs were more of an alt-rock sound than pop=punk sound--especially Bleed American. But then a few weeks later their new single came announcing over the radio waves of my car. "Here is Jimmy Eat World's newest single, Sweetness" I knew that this song would end up turning out like the other two singles but I was anxious to hear it anyway. Wow. I was wrong. After about 45 seconds of hearing the song, I switched to a different station. I mean I'm not one to base my opinion on radio singles but I lost A LOT of respect for Jimmy Eat World after being tortured by Sweetness. I mean the song barely had any lyrics. It was mainly "Woahoooooooo" for at least 2 and half minutes of the 3 minute song. Save yourself money and just download the other two singles and listen to them until ou get sick of them. Now I havn't heard the rest of this CD before and I know thats not the way to go when reviewing things, but after hearing the terrible "Sweetness" I don't think I wanna hear the rest of the cd. So go ahead and aim for that "This review was not helpful button" below the review, but this is just one persons opinion. So you Jimmy Eat World fans--don't go nuts and almost bash your computer in just because I don't like the same music as you.
