Direct but emotional.

This is the first album I bought from Kate Bush. It is excellent, though she has better records. It is probably her most accessible one, but we have to understand her; it is not because she has been absorbed by the pop sensibility, but because, like a lot of other artists, she was passing through an emotional shock (due to the death of her mother, among other things). Nut a lot of tunes in this album shows that Bush hasn't loose her tallent. Pay special attention to the tracks: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10. Kate has taken a lot of rest since this record. I only hope that, when she returns, she will do it with something much better. But 'The Red Shoes " is worthy, not only for its experimentation, but also for its pure and emotional content (both musically and lyrically).
