Kelly Goes Mainstream
Review Score:

(8/10)
Probably Kelly's biggest mistake (or producer, whatever) from her first album was making the cd to soft, with several slow songs in there an a small handful of catchy tunes in there. We remember "Independant Woman" "Low" and "Trouble with Love Is", the last one which was a big bore.
Anyhow THIS cd takes Kelly's talent, meshes it with catchy guiltar rift-filled choruses, and it delivers. This cd reminds me of Avril Lavigne blended with Evanescense. Honestly! But that's why I enjoye the hell out of this cd. Each song gives your ears something different to listen to.
1.Breakaway-(8/10) First single; wonderfully catchy, what else can be said?
2.Since U Been Gone-(9/10) second single; hardcore rock song w/ her beautiful voice
3.Behind these Hazel Eyes-(7/10) Very Avril-ish, but decent. I actually like the verses more than the chorus
4.Beacause of You-(8/10) passionate mid-tempo song, she shows off her vocals here
5.Gone-(10/10) my favorite;up-tempo and catchy-you gotta love it
6.Addicted-(8/10) like the title says, this songs is addictive; its slow and takes a while to get you to enjoy
7.Where Is Your Heart-(7/10) sounds like something from her first album, but the piano in the back makes it all better!
8.Walk Away-(8/10) Reminds me of some older song, maybe from the mid 90s, not sure, but it's good anyway. Maybe a Britney song. It's got attitude.
9.You Found Me-(8/10) I get a Michelle Branch vibe from this song. It's enjoyable witht the guitar rifts and what have you.
10.I Hate Myself for Losing You-(6/10) This song sounds painful. The chorus sounds like agony. IT'S NOT BAD, but it could be better...somehow.
11.Hear Me-(8/10) This song seems to be enjoyed by the crowd out there. It isn't senesational in mu opinion, but I like it. Very much resembles Evanescense here.
12.Beautiful Disaster (Live)-(9/10) Kelly proves her talent w/ this song. There's only a piano and her voice0melodic and beautiful.
Overall: 8/10
There's no bad song on here. Again I'll admit some songs sound like Avril's songs, but overall it's an impressive sophomore cd for Kelly.
