Crunk Is Killing Hip Hop

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (2/10)
Hip hop has been around for over two decades. Lil Jon and the Eastside Boys are threatening to kill it altogether. Period. No ifs ands or buts. This garbage lacks good beats, lyrics, and flow. You want good beats? Check out A Tribe Called Quest. You want good lyrics? Check out Common. You want good flow? Check out Biggie. Lil Jon is a disgusting excuse for hip hop. And you know what else? It's actually IRRITATING to listen to. Lil Jon & Co. lack talent, vision, and so many other vital aspects a musician needs that its sad. Hip hop is supposed to be about sounding good, having a message, being socially conscious, expressing yourself, being visionary. Rap music used to be a message, a purpose, a way of life. Lil Jon is threatening to throw two decades worth of culture down the toilet. If rap music is going to exist 20 years down the road, Lil Jon has got to go, because if he remains popular, i shudder at what hip hop will look like in 20 years. Do not buy this cd for your sake, for the sake of your friends, and for the future of rap music.
