Collision... Yes... Train Wreck... No

Jay-Z and Linkin Park are kings in their own separate worlds. Very few, if any, have surpassed Jay-Z as a rapper, and very few, if any, are able to beat Linkin Park as a rock group. But what tickles me is that Jay-Z claimed he was retiring, but after retirement he has been busier than ever. What with his FIRST collaboration album, "Unfinished Business"with R&B soul singer R. Kelly by his side (which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy), this has been a pretty lousy so-called "retirement".
But this album is just... meh! I don't wanna say there is anything wrong with this album necessarily, there is just nothing really new. I mean sure, it's a good mixture of awesome rap and awesome rock, but behind that it still feels way too familiar to break down any walls other than the obvious one: that it's ok to mix genre's if it's done correctly.
Don't get me wrong, this is still a nice mixture and the only album's weak moment is "Jigga What/ Faint"... but when the album barely pushes past 20 minutes, it's kinda risky to even HAVE a mistake. But strangely, this album really isn't about the album at all. I feel the main attraction is the bonus DVD that comes with it and that the rest of the album is mostly for road trips and partys.
Don't get me wrong, anyone who is slightly interested in the album should listen to it, I just didn't feel all too blown away by it.
