Linkin Park became popular because of their first single "One Step Closer". They started to rule the world's rock music almost right away. This is defintely their best one. The strength of this album is anger, wrath, and rage! ...and of course the short tracks with no boring guitar solos like Led Zeppelin had...I like Led Zeppelin very much but if Linkin Park would have done the same...the result could have been awful. This kind of music doesn't need guitar solos. There's no boring samples either. The vocalist has an angry voice and also the other band members can sing very good. The best tracks are "One Step Closer", "With You", "Points of Authority", "A Place for My Head", and "Papercut". This is like Korn's "Follow the Leader" but a little bit better I think. Nu metal/rock age has begun! And Linkin Park's One Step Closer is a good start for to get known with it.
