Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory

Back when downloading music through peer-to-peer programs wasn't exactly "illegal", my friend downloaded a couple of songs by this new band that called themselves "Linkin Park". After hearing the songs "One Step Closer" and "A Place for My Head", I was hooked. Once I heard their c.d. was coming out, I decided to run out and get it the day it came out.

Linkin Park is a band that really doesn't fit into one specific style of music. The album title "Hybrid Theory" suits their style well. They combine elements of metal, industrial and rap. Some of the chords that they put into their songs have somewhat of a gothic undertone to them. Their songs deal with everyday occurrances such as stress, self-esteem, emotional pain and just not getting along with people.

One of the songs I enjoy on this c.d. is "One Step Closer". This song was made for bad days when you just feel like telling people to shut up. The album covers everything that one can feel inside day by day.

I recommend this c.d. to anyone who enjoys metal, industrial or rap. I also recommend their other c.d.s, they do just as fine of a job as they have on this one.
