Why is this considered good music now? Here's the thing: these guys can't play their instruments. Now, even that doesn't mean they're completely useless. Hell, the only member of Nirvana that really knew his instrument was Dave Grohl. But they made up for it with genius songcrafting and beautiful lyrics. Linkin Park can't even do that. Their lyrics are shallow, one-dimensional drivel that shouldn't even be printed in the junior high literary magazine. Yes -- it's that bad.

Admittedly, metal is not my favorite genre -- I prefer the alternative stuff that sprung up in the '90s. But I can admit when there are talented metal bands -- Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, etc. Bands like Linkin Park, Slipknot, and the kings Limp Bizkit are NOT in those ranks.

Only buy this CD if you're a twelve-year-old who, for lack of actual problems, needs to contrive some crap about how your parents just don't understand and Chester has all the answers, and you're not intelligent enough to tell the difference between good and bad lyrics. Otherwise, skip it. I promise you, you're not missing much. In terms of longevity, these guys are comparable to the Backstreet Boys -- they'll be gone in 5 years.
