Linkin Park

Linkin Park sucks

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (2/10)
Linkin Park is a great band. Not the best, but they're pretty good. This CD is consistant with their abilities, and once you start talking like a loser, and saying, "they're posers; linkin park is for pussies who can't listen to real metal" and just judge the songs, you'll realize they're not all that bad.

12 songs make up this CD, and for all of you who say they can't write don't know a thing about lyrics.

1. Foreword - this isn't a song; just an introduction that, if not played before the first song is nothing more than an audio clip. 10/10
2. Don't Stay - this song is the closest Linkin Park will ever get to real metal. It's still a great song. 8/10
3. Somewhere I Belong - this is a beautiful, dark song, but only at the chorus does it become rock 7/10
4. Lying From You - this song's a cross between rap and metal, and about how we will often lie when we can't add up to what we're expected 9/10
5. Hit the Floor - a good punk song about lies and the liers who tell them. 9/10
6. Easier to Run - a really sad, angry song, of a wierd style, but probably one of if not the best song on this album. 10/10
7. Faint - a fast pop rock song with a little screaming at the end. Not the best but still fun to listen to. 6/10
8. Figure.09 - I'm still not sure what the title has to do with anything, but it's once again a cross between rap and metal. It's about someone who has given their life up to convenience others, and has forgotten themselves in the process. 7/10
9. Breaking the Habit - a wierd quasi-rock song about being dependant on things. (most likely drugs) 8/10
10. From the Inside - a straight up rock song, fueled with despair 8/10
11. Nobody's Listening - if there's a dud on this CD, this song would be it. It's a failed attempt at rap, but a good chorus, nice instrumentals, and few nice lines save it. 5/10
12. Session - a haunting intsrumental similar to Cure for the Itch (Hybrid Theory, 2000) that mixes Techno, Classical, and Rock to make a pretty, fast, and bizarre song. 10/10
13. Numb - great song. The lyrics flow well, and the melody kicks. 10/10

The only elements that got this CD 4 out of 5 stars was Nobody's Listening, and chester's occasionally annoying voices of Chester and Mike. They don't, however, ruin the CD at all. Overall this a great CD. Buy it.
