Linkin Park was definitely very strange for me. One day a friend brought over Hybrid Theory and popped it into the stereo and I was shocked that I liked it. I never liked metal (or any hard music) or rap, and I'd never been exposed to nu metal. Well I have to say I really like Linkin Park a lot. I haven't heard Hybrid Theory in a long time, and all I can remember from it is One Step Closer, which is probably my favorite LP song ever.

I don't mind the rapping at all when it's done over these kind of beats and guitar riffs. Actually, I am able to get very into it and appreciate it. Mike Shinoda has done awesome. One major factor in me liking LP so much though is Chester's voice. He's just got the voice, he can scream and keep it sounding good. He does awesome scream singing while keeping it melodic. That's rare to come across, in my opinion. (I was never a fan of screaming either) He's just as awesome of a singer when he's singing softly as well. (softly being anything where he's not screaming)

The only dissapointment in this CD really was the short CD length - about 36 minutes I think. I was just kinda mad that they made the CD look bigger than it really is with those two fillers, but Session is a good one, so I don't mind it really.

I like all but three of the songs on this CD (Lying From You, Hit The Floor, and Nobody's Listening). I picked up Meteora instead of Hybrid Theory because I wanted Linkin Park but I wanted to try something I haven't heard before, even though I could barely remember Hybrid Theory. And now after hearing Meteora and hearing LP being way better than I remembered, I have to get my hands on Hybrid Theory. I gave Meteora 4 stars but consider it 4.5
